Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Kerala

Inauguration of the Noor’ul Islam Mosque and the Three-Day Camp at Mathra,
 July 22-24, 2011

With the arrival of delegates from different parts of the State on the morning of Friday, July 22, 2011, at the home of our respected brother Jamaluddin Sahib, the Amir Jamaat at Mathra, the Registration began at 11 a.m. The Amir Sahib and his family informally welcomed everyone and interacted with all those who were present.

For the Jumu’ah sermon, the Amir Sahib selected an important sermon of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) that explained the coming of a Khalifatullah in the light of Qur’anic verses and the traditions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the explanations thereof by the previous Mujaddid, Hadhrat Ahmad (as). In brief remarks at the end of the sermon, the Amir Sahib formally declared the Three-Day Camp open.

After the Jumu’ah prayers, lunch was served for everyone. The audio records of the Kodiyathoor Meeting where the Amir Sahib and secretary Dr. Thahir Sahib made major speeches introducing the message of the Khalifatullah were played over the mike system.

At 3.15 p.m. our respected brother Fazil Jamal Sahib made an hour-long speech on the subject of “Ahmadiyya Khilafat and the Coming of a Mujaddid”. The speech drew upon his recent research and subsequent writings on the impugned issues at the Sahih Al Islam Blog. Fazil Jamal Sahib drew attention to the ways in which the Ahmadiyya Khilafat drifted away from the understanding of Hadhrat Ahmad (as) on various spiritual issues such as the meaning of ‘Khilafat’; the future of Mujaddidiyat and the interpretation of Khudrat-e-Saniyah or the Second Manifestation of Divine Power etc. He also contrasted the current perceptions of Ahmadis on the question of the need for an Imam and the opinions on the issue held by the Promised Messiah (as).

Apart from narrating the doctrinal corruption, the speaker also graphically illustrated how the Ahmadiyya Community today is bedevilled by issues of financial impropriety, corruption and maladministration, nepotism and injustice. The quest for protecting the vested interests of a decadent system is forcing the Community’s leaders and scholars to command Allah to stop sending His Elects and chosen Messengers including Mujaddidin. Fazil Jamal sahib further explained that the Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim Sahib (atba) was forced to confront them – including Maulvi Muhammad Ismail Sahib of Kannur – through a Mubahila Challenge precisely because of their contemptuous disregard of Islamic ethics by levelling false accusations against him and spreading spurious charges about his disciples.

Moments after the speech ended, a police team arrived at the Mosque. As Hindus, Christians and common Muslims of the area are friendly with our brothers, the complaint could only have been made by the local Ahmadiyya leadership, but they refused to take any credit for their involvement in the arrival of the Police at the Mosque. But they formally told the Police (when they arrived) that they have objections against the speeches of our brothers over the microphone, even if this is being done within our own premises as they were criticising their precepts and practices. Since the Ahmadis formally told the police about their objections against the usage of microphone, Police feared that it might lead to law and order issues and our brothers were requested to switch off the mike system and to conduct proceedings without it. In the interest of peace, they humbly agreed to forego the use of the mike system.

In the evening, our respected brother Dr. Thahir Sahib led a study session on some verses of Surah Al Mu’minoon.

After the Darsul Qur’an, the Amir Sahib announced the glad news about the Bai’at of a family of four. Amir Sahib was really delighted that his son-in-law DA Zainul Abdeen Sahib and daughter Fauzia Jamal Sahiba along with their children Fa-e-zah Maryam Zain and Zachariah Bin Zain expressed the desire to join the new Jamaat. For the benefit of the newly joining members and to refresh the memory of the existing members, he explained the conditions of Bai’at and the responsibilities it entails. These are first Bai’ats of the year.

On July 23, Tahajjud prayers were offered, followed later by the Fajr Namaz. The Amir Sahib later led a study session on Hadith. At 11 a.m., Fazil Jamal Sahib read out the message (in Malayalam translation) of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir A. Azim Sahib (atba). The original message (available in English ~ PDF) was issued to coincide with the inauguration of the Noor’ul Islam Mosque and the three-Day Camp. Photos were taken on the occasion as a record for posterity.

In the afternoon, Majlis Amila was held to review the Jamaat developments and to take stock of our programmes. The Meeting expressed satisfaction that our members are increasing and that the message is being spread in the state. The respected Amir Sahib encouraged members to generously contribute to our Muqaddam Fund instituted by Hadhrat Khalifatullah for the renovation of the Mosque.

A special meeting of the Siraj Makin sisters took place in parallel to the Majlis Amila.

In the evening, Dr. Thahir Sahib led a study session on the concept of “Roohu and Nafse” as found in the Holy Qur’an. Dr. Thahir Sahib pointed out that the term “Roohu” is found at 19 places in the Holy Qur’an and invariably, the reference was with the meaning of revelation. On the other hand, the term “Nafse” can be found in over 230 verses and the reference was with the meaning of soul. In his famous book “The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam”, the Promised Messiah (as) has used the Qur’anic verse 15:30 to illuminate his point about the origin of the human soul, even though the verse in question has used the term “Roohu” with the meaning of revelation.

On 24th morning, after Tahajjud prayers and the Fajr Namaz, the Amir Sahib led a study session on the Holy Qur’an. He explained the meaning and interpretation of the first eight verses of Surah Al Baqarah.

At 11 a.m. Dr. Thahir Sahib began a session on “Life after life”. He preferred the term “life after life” rather than “life after death” and explained that death is a door to another life, rather than being an end in itself. He felt that the existence of dreams is an undeniable reality which helps us to perceive the life to come as an equally plausible reality.

In the valedictory session, Fazil Jamal Sahib conducted a review of the Camp proceedings of the three days. In his final speech, respected Amir Sahib shared with everyone the expectations of Hadhrat Khalifatullah and hoped that all of the members in Kerala be able to rise up to enormous responsibilities. Further, he invited everyone to come back to the Mosque during the upcoming Ramadan days. Our respected brother Saleem Sahib offered a formal vote of thanks for everyone. And thereafter, the Amir Sahib declared the formal closure of the Camp, expressing deep gratitude to Allah the Almighty for making the Programme a success. Alhamdulillah.

The delegates returned back to their places after Namaz followed by lunch served at the venue.
