Text Box: THOUGHTS
Thoughts are of two kinds - constructive and destructive. The selfish people have destructive thoughts and the godly people have constructive thoughts. It is the person having constructive thoughts that take the country and society forward. Also the possibility of having similar thoughts lies with only selfless people who happen to think objectively. When the people have subjective thinking they usually do not see eye to eye. All these bickering in organisations are due to these subjective thinking where the members are concerned with saving their positions rather than advancing the organisation and promoting the noble cause for which it stands.
Therefore to have constructive thoughts a lot of groundwork on mental and spiritual bases is to be done. One should have thoughts firmly set in his mind and to do so one should adopt a thought after having given it all considerations.
Once he comes to a conclusion he should not bow to any pressure. Bowing to the pressure means either he has some other motives or he has not given full consideration and has simply come to think like that. A thought finally takes the form of a decision and resolution and that then takes the form of a principle. The thought and the level of thinking may be flexible and may be changed but once it takes the form of decision or principle one should not change it at any cost. It is the best way to have such thoughts is to formalize them on the basis of the knowledge gained from scriptures, great scholars, experienced righteous people, on his own experience in life. One should not allow his mind to be formed on the basis of others’ thinking.
One should create a big source in himself with the help of his knowledge and experience. And the thoughts should spring from that source within himself. Such a thought is more practical and valuable than the one merrily collected from books or speakers. Just like the seeds break through the soil and raise as sprouts that later grow into big trees, even so experience and knowledge collected by a person in his mind break through it on time and grow into decisions and principles.
As the person himself is a godly one his thoughts too become divine thoughts because they are the result of an enlightened mind. They shine in darkness and show the soul the way he should adopt to remove that darkness, solve the problems and move forward.
An alert soul always has the thoughts that are awakening and they do not allow the soul to be doomed. They help him elevate himself and progress in life.
