THE PRAYER

O Allah let me have a heart pure with the fear of You (God),
The sky has witnessed to the countless sins that my hands, mind and soul have brought forward before you,
And You are Most Forgiving,
O my Lord, the Love for You makes me cry for reunion,
Be it for the punishment of a sin or the reward for a good action,
I die to meet You,
Solely you in me, and all around me,
My purpose lies in You,
And You are my Greatest Protector,
Please guard me firmly and everlastingly from Satan the Curse and all his partisans,
Be it amongst the jinns or men,
Ascribe to me Your most perfect Love,
And let me honour You in the Most perfect Ways,
You and me O Lord,
Out this world into Your essence,
Hell calls me to itself,
While Paradise rejects me,
But Hell and Paradise I disregard for the Love of You,
Let not satan possess my heart,
O Allah would you let satan possess my heart when my heart belongs to You?
I am for you O my master,
I come before you as your servant and as a mendicant,
Knowing deep inside that You are Most Generous,
You distribute your Mercy and Forgiveness like no one else,
For there is none worthy of worship except You,
O my Lord, a little of food and food I get,
O Lord, a little of Love, and abundant love deepens my heart alive,
O Lord, I look to you for clothing, and You serve me with Your most perfect light,
O Lord, I beg for Your protection against Your wrath, curse and Hell-fire and You opened to me the door of Your Grace,
I ask for your light and light you gave me,
Filling my darkened life with the beauty of submission,
O Lord, prevent me from asking you a thing which You know in Your knowledge that is bad for me,
And I ask of You to give me the best things from You,
All in all I want You in your perfect attributes,
And prevent Satan from casting his evil eyes on Our Love and Friendship,
O my Eternal Lord, I come to You satisfied with You,
And please welcome me in your arms with tears of love in Your eyes and satisfaction that my trials have been received with an excellent distinction to the various exams which I have sat,
O Lord, I thank You for Your own sake,
And I repent for my sins,
Sinner as I am, I beg for release,
Release in your Heart,
Pure as ever,
 For always.

Ameen.
