Friday Sermon

Hazrat Amir’ul Momeneen Muhyi-Ud-Din
Al Khalifatullah

Munir Ahmad Azim

05 June 2009

(Summary of Friday Sermon)

After having greeted everybody with the Salutations of Peace, the Khalifatullah read the Tashahhud, Taouz and Surah Al Fatiha and then he read the following verse of the Holy Quran:

Fabimaa Rahmatim-minallaahi lina lahum. Wa law kunta fazzan galiizal-qalbi lanfazzuu min haw-lik : Fa-fu anhum wastagfir lahum wa shaawirhum fil amr. Fa-izza azamta fatawakkal alallah. Innallaha yuhibbul-mutawakkiliin.

And it is by the great mercy of Allah that thou art kind towards them, and if thou hadst been rough and hard-hearted, they would surely have dispersed from around thee. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them, and consult them in matters of administration; and when thou art determined, then put thy trust in Allah. Surely, Allah loves those who put their trust in Him. (Chapter 3 Al’ Imran Verse 160)

By the Grace of Allah, the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam has several of its branches in Mauritius and in other nearby islands and other countries also, like Morocco, India, Indonesia, Belgium, France, America, Madagascar, Mayotte, Seychelles etc. The Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam has its auxiliary organisations attached to it by the Grace of Allah the Almighty in Mauritius and all the other countries. This is indeed a great favour from Allah, bestowed upon the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, where the youths, ladies and men altogether work in their respective auxiliary organisations, and I must attract all of you your attention that it is the central organisation of the Jamaat which has precedence over all the existing branches. All of you are working in collaboration with the Muhyi-ud-Din Khalifatullah of this era, the Chosen One of Allah and this indeed is a great favour and grace from Allah. I must say that till now (By the Grace of Allah) I have not got any problem with the concerned organisations (in Mauritius and other countries), either be it central organisation or auxiliary ones. They work with love, dedication, in harmony and a special connection with the Caliph of Allah, and they show complete obedience concerning the different instructions received from Allah through His Chosen Servant.

This does not mean however that I must not warn you about your behaviour towards the newly converts. As a Caliph of Allah, it is my duty and responsibility to elaborate on this subject matter, even though all is running smoothly by the Grace of Allah. It is one of the most fundamental precautions that we must take, as one body in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. We must not become like those people in other Muslim sects, and even like the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association which have failed in this work. It is not at all my intention to back-bite them on the pulpit of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and thus fall into the same abased position as them.

For the moment, even though we are not facing this kind of problem, and I do not want this problem to crop amongst the officials of the Jamaat, including its central president, secretaries, or its auxiliary organisations. You must not be people who just sit and order yourselves around to those who are under your command. You must never show or act with pride and arrogance with average people, who are not so knowledgeable, or even towards the newly converts of the Jamaat. This is something which I personally extremely detest. On the contrary, when you become an official of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, be it wherever you are, you must all create gentleness in your way of being, in your characters, like stipulated in the above-mentioned verse from the Holy Quran. The officials of the Jamaat must direct their attention towards their responsibilities and remove completely from them all egos and personal desires. Moreover, they must give a special attention to the way they would adopt to accomplish their works. This is amongst all more important, and all of us must let go of the habit to get angry on every little thing that crops up. It is true that each person has a certain character, and way of behaving, and likewise, I also I admit that I have a rather hot temper or character, but we must all pray Allah that Allah may help me and you all, especially the officials of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam to be free from all sorts of bad character, otherwise Satan can have the upper hand on us, and those people entering into the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam because of the Divine Manifestation would retreat on their footsteps. By the Grace of Allah, this has not yet happened in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam up till now and I pray fervently to Allah that this does not happen in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam.

Each responsible member or officials in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam must increase their love and brotherhood towards all the members of the Jamaat, from whichever country they originate. Moreover, you must learn to cultivate the habit of engaging yourselves in the Remembrance of Allah, to recite every day the Holy Quran with translations, and to ask of Allah His forgiveness. Besides this, you must give a good spiritual education to your children whatever their age may be. It is not an honour at all to have a father in the central committee of a Jamaat or its auxiliary organisation whilst the child is exposing himself on the internet, and doing all sorts of disgusting and indecent actions. The father may be either doing all sorts of great discourses before the people, as if ready to break the microphone, but the child is useless and without spiritual and moral attributes.

I am saying all this because I do not want this to happen here amongst us in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. All responsible parties must keep an eye on their children and give them good religious education. It is true that your children will have to use the internet for their school projects or work, but you must always keep an eye on them and control them in every aspect (so as to prevent them from stumbling in crooked paths). Our children of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam must have respect for the elders and even to the little ones. This must be inculcated at home itself. It must not be that the youths of the Jamaat when talking among themselves to show them boastful, arrogant or more superior than the other. If this happens to penetrate into their way of being, it is then that clashes would emerge in a Jamaat, where the Jamaat would be divided into groups, each satisfying themselves in their groups and family-feelings.

The Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam must not become like the other Jamaat and especially the Jamaat Ahmadiyya (generally speaking). When one look at the outcome of these young boys and girls and what they are doing on the internet on such sites like Facebook, Hi5 etc, one develops disgust and also sadness because of what they have rendered the Jamaat of the Promised Messiah (on him be peace) to be. On the other hand, the parents of these children are declaring themselves to be great defenders of Islam, some of them being in the Central Committee of the Association. Moreover, they believe themselves to be great intellectuals and God-fearing people, but if you happen to know their personal lives and the actions of their children, this will bring shame to Islam in a general sense, and particularly for the Jamaat of the Promised Messiah (on him be peace) where they pretend themselves to be good followers of the Promised Messiah (on him be peace).

There are those of these kinds of parents whose child is showing himself having indecent masks which he puts over his head, accompanied with several foreign girls and other “friends” from a foreign country, having cigarettes in hand still accompanied with other indecent foreign girls who themselves are smoking. On top of that, they do not hesitate to dance! These kinds of indecent children have their parents in the Central Committee holding important positions, but when important personalities ( like when they received ministers and members of the parliament in a great caliphate banquet, these so-called officials address the audience without having any cap on their head, and they do not hesitate to mingle with female strangers and sit beside them to eat and drink together – Where is the system of Pardah in all this?) or the caliph (Khalifatul Massih) of their movement comes for a visit, these people of the Jamaat (AMC) wear the masks of virtue before the caliph, wearing their prayer caps or coverings on their heads like good boys and girls. But the caliph is not All-Knowing! It is only Allah Who knows you very well. Instead of fearing Allah, and meditating on what kind of account you will have to render before Him, you fear a caliph elected by man more than you should have feared Allah. The caliph is also a man like you. So, each parent must know his child; even though the parent may not know his child 100% but at least he should know the child well enough, if he is really a God-fearing person. When seeing such a disgusting situation, that parent should have resigned from the high position which he holds and go to educate his child and family first; he starts preaching first in his home first-hand.

It is unfortunate to see these types of “ministers” (so-called office-bearers) in a Jamaat (especially in a country like Mauritius) and having at its head a so-called Amir. What kind of work they are having with the young Khuddam, Lajna and the Atfaal and Nasirat. Instead of spying on others and putting their nose in that which does not concern them, go and educate properly these youths. There are girls there who are taking violin courses, there are other girls who are devoid of spirituality, but are rather going to take dancing and Karate courses. If you go online on the internet, on such sites like Facebook and Hi5, you would see how some put their photos and names, and describing their likes such as favourite artists, male and female. There are even some “Lajna” (women in such Jamaat) who readily put their names and indecent comic photos on such sites. Do you think that Allah will leave this situation like this? Do you think that Allah will not send a Warner before sending His divine punishment?

I thus address myself to these “ministers”, the secretaries responsible for spiritual education in that Jamaat, the Amir, and their other auxiliary organisations; do not just sit or walk with vanity and do not just give orders. Become true responsible parties of these children and members of the Jamaat who is supposed to be that of the Promised Messiah (on him be peace). When you will become conscious of your responsibilities and act upon them with fear of Allah, then you will become true servants of Allah in the Jamaat and also for the country.

In the verse which I have recited before you, Allah the Almighty has given a basic principle how to keep the Ummah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and also the Jamaat of the Promised Messiah (on him be peace) united. It has not been said to back-bite so and so, negatively report so and so, humiliate him and cast him outside the Jamaat structure.

In the year 2001 when they have expelled me and Bye Zafrullah Domun from the Jamaat Ahmadiyya Structure, ever since the first January 2001, all programmes which they held were talks or rather back-biting on us, and according to them – the so-called Amir and his so-called Mullahs – we were creating fitna (chaos), and instilling hatred in the hearts of people. Moreover, they used to expel all those who believed in the revelations which I receive, from the Jamaat. Besides, all those who come to visit us and talk to us receive severe warnings and threats that if they do not boycott us, they will send a report to the caliph so as to expel them also from the Jamaat. The so-called Amir and his so-called Mullahs are presenting their caliph as an frightening person to such an extent that the people in the Jamaat Ahmadiyya has inculcated more fear of the caliph and their Amir than the fear of Allah the Almighty.

Today they are suffering, and I also suffer from these happenings because it is not at all Islamic to close a Mosque in Malaysia and hinder Ahmadi Muslims from worshipping in their Mosque, to perform the Friday Sermon and prayer and other activities, but at the same time they are not taking conscience of what is really happening to them. This is also like a warning to you, because of the suffering which you have inflicted upon us only because of revelations which are pouring down from Allah. Moreover, at that time, a so-called Amir did not hesitate to close the Mosque in New Grove (in the year 2001), in the south of Mauritius to hinder us from performing our Eid of Sacrifice prayer. Does the caliph (of their Jamaat) know this or do the Ahmadi Muslims from all over the world know of this abased act which the Amir and his surroundings have executed? Is this Islamic? The caliph who was at that time Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad – May Allah forgive him – had taken the sides of his Amir and approved of what he did. Is this type of Amir liable to bring about the unification of a Jamaat? The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is our perfect example and is the role model. If the people used to attach themselves to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and keep him company because of the love and brotherhood which the Prophet had for them, then you the so-called Amir, who are you not to show love towards the people and especially towards those who dedicate themselves a lot for the religion of Islam? It is most unfortunate also to witness and also learn that they have not paid a poor woman in Rodrigues Islands her salary for months. This woman used to clean the Mosque there but even though they have not paid her her salaries for so many months, the so-called missionary there came to her house and demand back the keys of the mosque, promising her again that when he will come back to Mauritius he will pay her the money which they owe her since months and months. They have not hesitated to hurt her feelings, disregarding the fact that she has a household to run. This so-called missionary has not hesitated also to lie concerning the members adherence to the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, and he met one of our members and have the audacity to ask him some lemons and chilies to make believe that this man (from our Jamaat) is one of them! But the truth has been exposed by the Grace of Allah when he has left Rodrigues definitely! What a dirty action, doing espionage for the account of a Jamaat!

What a shame for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association! They are also collecting millions of chanda money to hold banquets in hotels, to hold programmes in great halls such as the Vivekananda Hall which location is very expensive, especially in a world financial crisis. But when it comes to pay the workers of the Jamaat their due, their salary, they hold back their hands and make false promises to pay them. These chanda money are contributed by all people in the Jamaat, rich and poor alike; their sacrifice in the path of Allah is being used in mundane matters rather than the real purpose of the chanda. The men of that Jamaat are enjoying themselves with this money.

O members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, here, in Mauritius and worldwide, if you ask me what is the thing which worries me a lot, it is that which I have related to you in this sermon which worries me. Thus, we must supplicate Allah a lot, and give away a lot of charity (Sadaqa) and pray that Allah may guide us in each and every decision that we take, such good decisions which will not hurt anybody’s heart. We must not hurt them even if they have committed a great wrong; we must instead go to him with love, brotherhood, without the thought of boycott and talk to him and educate him (so that he may repent and reform himself) and also pray for him. Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam MUST NOT become such a Jamaat who expel its members, humiliate them, boycott them, do not bid them salaam; retract invitations in programmes or weddings. What is all this? Is this Islam? Are these the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)? On the contrary we must follow the example of our master the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we must show humility and love towards our brothers and sisters, the newly converts and all people also.

May Allah the Almighty enable all office-bearers of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam to be friendly, without any enmity in their hearts for anyone in the Jamaat and may all of you establish a deep love and a solemn brotherhood of unity. It is this my greatest worry, where, by the grace of Allah this year 2009 there are lots of people in several countries are integrating the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. It is here itself that we must be extremely careful; there are some of you who were in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, and now are found in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, you must perceive this difference in the treatment that you are receiving compared to the other Jamaat, and you must know with certainty that the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam is the true Jamaat of Allah and that it functions according to the instructions of Allah.

It is true that for me, as the Caliph of Allah and Reviver of Faith, it is not possible for me to go in each and every country, each and every town or neighbourhood to know the state and situation of each and every person. So, it is a great grace and favour of Allah that the advice, spiritual education of all members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam are being done through the series of Friday Sermons, Study-Circles, and through the emails sent to you. I do not want that in this Jamaat, so and so will report so and so, or the central president and his secretaries to send me negative reports against so and so, so as to take sanctions against him. This is not what I have come to do as a Caliph of Allah. My work does not consist to sanction so and so, to expel him from the Jamaat or boycott him. My work consist of repairing the roads which leads to Allah, those roads which have been wrecked; so as to rebuild them, and not to abandon them or to put a signboard “NO ENTRY”, and thus distancing someone from the Jamaat, where he can all the more distance himself from Allah. And moreover, if this takes place, it is I and you also (the concerned parties) who will be responsible for it before Allah.

When you see these favours of Allah happen where in several countries and also in Mauritius, people are entering into the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, we must instead (of wrongs) glorify Allah and ask of Him lots of forgiveness, and not to become proud and arrogant that we have achieved such and such numbers of members (through the oath of allegiance), and that people from such and such countries are integrating the Jamaat. On the contrary, you must all show humility much more and turn towards Allah and seek His help to bring these people on the right path; and the fact that they have left their ancient religions; therefore they are entitled to receive more spiritual satisfaction in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in all its aspects.

Allah has revealed this chapter of the Holy Quran to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) – Surah An-Nasr (The Help) Chapter 110:

“Izaa jaaa-a Nasrullaahi wal fathu, wara aytan-naasa yad-khuluuna fii diinillahi afwaajaa, fa-sabbih bi-hamdi Rabbika wastagfirh. Innahuu kaana Tawwabaa.”

Translation : When the help of Allah comes, and the victory, And thou seest men entering the religion of Allah in troops, Glorify thy Lord, with His praise, and seek forgiveness of Him. Surely He is Oft-Returning with compassion.

This chapter attracts the attention of the true believers (the God-fearing ones) how they must behave when the Victory of Allah is approaching. What kind of victory which Allah is mentioning in this verse? The fact that you will see people embracing the religion of Allah in groups! Is it an easy task to make them embrace the religion of Allah? Is it an easy task for them to leave their idols? Is it an easy task for them to leave that which their ancestors used to do? It is with the arrival of a Messenger of Allah, where there is a spiritual revolution and where all those pure of heart and sincere will come and embrace the religion of Allah (Islam). It is Allah Himself who opens their hearts to accept His Messenger. They are those people who want to remain forever close to Allah, who want to rid themselves of all mundane desires and their false idols so as to recognise the Unique Lord, the Almighty in Whose hand is all power. They readily leave all these to seek the path which will lead them to their Universal Creator. How will they be able to recognise their Creator? This happens with the arrival of a Messenger of Allah. That is why Allah address His Messenger and true and pious believers, that when they see groups of people entering the fold of Islam (the religion of Allah), then glorify Allah a lot and seek His forgiveness, so that you may be able to lead these people in the right path. We seek Allah’s forgiveness also so that we may reform ourselves completely first before attempting to reform these people who have embraced the religion of Allah.

May Allah give us the necessary knowledge to understand this sermon and to put in into practice, Insha-Allah. I stop here for today (because of lack of time). Insha-Allah, I will continue this sermon next week.
