Friday Sermon

HAZRAT KHALIFATULLAH AL-MASSIH AL-MA’OUD

Munir Ahmad Azim
25 March 2011 ~

(19 Rabi’ul Aakhir 1432 Hijri)

(Summary of Friday Sermon)

After having greeted everybody with the Salutations of Peace, the Messiah (Massih’ullah) read the Tashahhud, Taouz and Surah Al Fatiha and then he said:

By the grace of Allah, throughout the years in which God dipped me in the fountain of His Divine Manifestation, He has taught me lots of things of which I never knew before. He taught me the languages of the birds and also of His beautiful creations of earth. All through the years, through His eyes, I have felt cherished in a special cocoon: Divine Love. He made me into an Adam (as) to reach out to people and make them understand the philosophy of life and living for a special purpose: the worship of one God.

Among the things He showed me is the need for peace, not only at our inner level, but also at world level. Through the inspirations He vouchsafed me, He taught me that the real cause of human strife and wars is due to selfishness, on one hand and the sacrilege of God’s remembrance and association to God in His Pure and Only Divinity, on the other. When people let go of the thread of unity, of sincerity and spirituality and preferred to indulge in self-interest, and when he forgot to act according to the divine laws, and forget to respect the rights of others, in the same go, he showed to himself the way down to hell; a hell of his very own creation. Gone are the harmony and concord he should have gotten had he held fast to the commandments of God and act decently in the best interest of one and all. The respect he should have had for his neighbours, friends, surroundings, and his very own family, had he acted upon this respect and defended the spiritual values bestowed to him since the creation of the heavens and earth, he should have been successful in opening the secret door leading him to God.

When the prophets came and went away, this did not matter to him. Instead of holding fast to the teachings of God, he has been his very own demolition machine, creating such armaments which till today is wrecking the world in pieces. Name whatever country one wants, and one shall see that each of these countries is never free from the clutches of Satan and that of his armies.

Such times have hit our little world today – worst than in the past – that everything which is done is against the goodwill of God but more instead towards the creation of self-satisfaction, such a one which does not have the stamp of approval from the Divine. Wars and strife have ensued, and no one could stop the inevitable, for all these are the reflection of man’s deeds and conscience. Like the ignorant bird he is, he created such a nest which the vultures of his raw passion have destroyed leaving nothing good for posterity. Nowadays, the more is known of the world, the more frightened one gets, realising that the evils it is filled of, is of man’s own greed for power, maintenance of a make-believe dignity, the need to maintain and remain in control, and to be considered all-aware of the state of matters. Such thoughts have created monsters instead of servants of God. They have invited mankind to take such a knife and commit such a suicide which is not only fatal for itself but also for the next generation.

The recent calamity which has sizzled Japan is one of the many examples which the world has had to face. We have witnessed of so many calamities, going from earthquakes, tsunamis, known and unknown diseases, pollution through deadly chemicals, and life-threatening cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons, which have causes such after-effects as landslides and cause the deaths of thousands of people all round the world.

To each cause, there is an effect. But indeed nowadays we have come to believe that to each evil deed there is a repercussion and now God Almighty is confirming His threats of punishments if man does not return back to Him (to His worship). What is more frightening is that punishment over punishment shall come, in all ways, for the sins of man have become too bulky for the world to contain. Man and man are fighting, women and men are trading places and have forgotten their vital identity and their rightful place in society and respect has disappeared: neither elder people are respected nor the younger ones. Actually our times is witnessing to such abased degradation that it is shameful to live on earth and become witness of all these sorts of depravation and indecency. Morals have gone to the dogs. Sex has become all the more (compared to the ancient times) such a commodity which is available for all and sundry to taste without the seal of legality.

In a nutshell, the barbarous state of humankind at the times of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saws) has once again revived and it is for this reason that Allah has chosen to send to the world a second time the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saws) for the revival of the world, to undo the barbaric state of man and teach him once again the perfect state of Islam (submission to one God). Long gone are the times of the best of mankind (saws). Such a time shall never return, but indeed its reflections shall continue to manifest itself from time to time, each time Allah sends to the world His Chosen Messenger.

The world is in grip of all the evils which have gripped the times of Prophets Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Lut, Musa, Dawud, Sulaiman, Issa and Muhammad (peace be upon them all) – only to name a few – and such evils merged together have made their apparition in the times of the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). But now, in our present era, the situation is far worse than witnessed before.

Allah has sent this humble self with lots of heavenly signs and the most flagrant and being a prophecy of both the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saws) is the eclipse of both the moon and the sun in the same month of Ramadhan back in November 2003 (November 9 and 23). At that time (in the Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen), Allah made me stood up and proclaim that I was the one whose advent is announced through this heavenly sign in our present era, that this sign is for the advent of this humble self. Moreover, during the course of the Divine Manifestation (in its beginning), there were the rare (and frequent at that time) manifestation in the Mauritian Sky of sun-halos or what is also known as full-circle rainbows (October 2002 +, December 2007 etc.). Later on, in 2004 (June 8), scientists from all round the world took Mauritius as a vital centre for the observation of the extremely rare “Once in a lifetime” Venus Transit.

It must be noted also that more than once the name of Allah has appeared in the Mauritian Sky, and witnessed personally by this humble self along with a group from among my disciples. In addition, twice there has been the witness of the crescent of the moon along with its star (an Islamic symbol), where six months back on 11 September 2010, there have been once again this manifestation in the sky (after Maghrib and Esha prayers), to which I am a personal witness. Likewise, all round the world there have been manifestation of such like phenomena, so that they act as an eye-opener that all these rare occurrences in this special era (2000-till now – in my times). And now, I am going to prophecy yet another heavenly phenomenon, which is the splitting of the moon into two. Such phenomenon has happened in the times of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saws) and in my times also, such sign shall be witnessed by my friends and foes alike as a proof of my truthfulness as the Chosen Messenger of Allah of this era, the second Muhammad (saws) whose advent has been prophesised in the Holy Quran in Chapter 62. This prophecy (moon splitting) shall be physical and spiritual, both literal and metaphorical.

The world is in a dire situation. Wars and crimes are rampant and attempts are made to overthrow a nation while vying for its riches (for personal gain) instead of lending a helping hand to the oppressed nations, particularly for the Muslim nations. The world shall witness rivers of blood which shall call for the wails and tears of widows and orphans. Families shall be separated, miracles of life shall be witnessed, yet among this timely Hour, Allah shall separate the good from the evil, and Insha-Allah, little by little, such a time shall come when humanity shall come to know and recognise the supremacy of Islam as the final and perfect religion. Before this happens, there shall be many Jihad (religious wars) which will have to be waged, and other promised ones who shall come so that the Victory of Islam be felt not only as a true reality but also from every heart thirsty of Allah, thirsty for the TRUTH.

Time and time again I have talked about the perfection of Islam (and its teachings). The teachings are pure but it is man who either spoils its image or shows its perfection. In this era, Allah has sent His special Envoy to make shine the perfection of Islam, not only outwardly, but so that the light of faith may enter the hearts of the truth-seekers and they realise the beauty of Islam and the oneness of Allah (Glory be to Him).

The times we are witnessing are critical and only a return back to the worship of Allah can save humanity from the calamities which are shedding it to pieces.

Next, it has come to my knowledge that a certain Mansoor Ahmad Sahib, one of the followers of Janbah Sahib has come forward to try to refute this humble self (my Friday Sermon of 21 January 2011) instead of his leader. Indeed the reply was addressed to “Shabeeb Haneef Sahiba” and uploaded on their website – what a manifestation! Should we consider this “Sahiba” bit as a manifestation uncovering the role which Shabeeb Haneef Sahib has been doing lately? Anyways, this man wants that I come forward to prove the truthfulness of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (May Allah be pleased with him). He writes I quote: “If you could not prove his truthfulness then your own claim will itself be proved as “fake Musleh Maud Second”. There are no such revelations of Hadhrat Mahdi & Massih Maud exist in which Allah the most High has promised him that some Reformers will appear after centuries. Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad this statement is enough proof of his being a fake Musleh Maud. Here I request Munir Ahmad Sahib to show such revelations in which Allah the most High has promised to Hadhrat Mahdi & Massih Maud of the coming of any promised Reformer after centuries? In accordance with the revelations of Hadhrat Mahdi & Massih Maud there is only and only one Reformer’s glad tidings present i.e. Zaki Ghulam whom he called Musleh Maud.”

Do they say: ‘He has forged it?’ Say: ‘If I have forged it, then you have no power to help me against Allah; He knows best what you say. It is sufficient that He is the Witness between me and you. He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.’ Say: ‘I am not an innovation among the messengers; nor do I know what will be done with me or you. I follow only what is revealed to me; I am only a Clear Warner.’ (46 :9-10)

Mansoor Ahmad Sahib is quite ignorant as to stipulate such a condition, when Allah has given the His true servants as guide the Holy Quran as basis of reference. He says that there is only one glad tidings of Musleh Maoud, and that he cannot be the biological son of the Promised Messiah; yet like his leader has given examples, by quoting how the promise of Allah has worked on Prophets Zakariyya and Ibrahim (upon them be peace), yet is he blind or dumb as to think that Allah shall not be true to His word and bestow a physical (biological) son to His Messiah in response to his prayers. Prophet Zakariyya had Yahya, him being not only his promised biological son but also a prophet of Allah; and to Prophet Ibrahim, Allah bestowed upon him not only Prophet Ismail, but as promised others sons and grandsons from among his posterity, without forgetting the promise of a Messenger of Allah who shall come centuries after them, that is, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The words of a Messenger of Allah is not always literal, but holds some metaphorical meaning, and as one of the Messengers of Allah I now understand the need for allusion of these two types of meanings. In the revelations which the Promised Messiah (on him be peace), Allah once addressed him and told him that he was His son. God forbid, does that mean that Allah has begot a physical son? Or it is that due to His immense love for His messiah, He used the word to demonstrate a paternal love as a father would for his child, only as a measure to make people understand that Allah’s love for His servants is far greater than even paternal love? Likewise, the Promised Messiah (on him be peace) never did say that his Zaki Ghulam will be the only promised one to come for the revival of Islam. If that is the case, then his biological son, whom Allah protected from death – contrary to your belief that Allah may let a liar live – came forward to claim that he was that real biological son (from the seed of) Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (on him be peace) whose advent he foretold. Can Janbah Sahib lay such claim that he is from the biological seed (the actual son) of the Promised Messiah (on him be peace). You try to take a part of the revelation of the Promised Messiah and use it to your own advantage, while rejecting another part or making belief that it applied to another son, who later died. This is not correct. The revelation came and it was to be from the seed, the biological progeny of the Promised Messiah but you and your leader seem to be blind to this fact. By the grace of Allah, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (May Allah be satisfied with him) came forward after he got confirmation after many years that he was the son whom Allah promised He would raise in the aftermath of the prayers and revelations received from Allah by the Promised Messiah (on him be peace). Can anyone object to the will of Allah? Even though the Promised Messiah thought as a human that this son would be born of a third wife, the revelation having been annulled, but the promise of Allah concerning the promised biological son should be fulfilled as per His will.

"And when We substitute one revelation for another, and Allah knows best what He reveals, they say: You are only a forger. No, (indeed) most of them do not know." (16:102)

"Whatever revelations We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or like it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things?" (2:107)

I want to ask Janbah Sahib a question. Does he believe in the Khulafa-e-Rashideen? Yes or No? The last three of them were assassinated. Then were their deaths (God Forbid) and the deaths of past prophets who were killed by their enemies concrete proofs for the opponents of Islam of their fallacy? The Holy Prophet Muhammad (saws) already prophesised that they (the 4 Khulafa-e-Rashideen – by naming them by their degrees of honour)) would be the guardians of his Sunnah. But then the last 3 of them were assassinated. Were their deaths accursed deaths and does this mean that Islam and its noble prophet are false? If the answer is no, then according to Janbah Sahib, how dare he say that receiving a stab in the neck (which evidently had been planned by the attacker, knowing very well of the verse of the Quran on this subject) is proof of the deceit in the claim of the second Khalifa Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra)? And especially when Allah has clearly protected His chosen person from death from such a brutal attack?

On the one hand, there are the brutal deaths of the 3 Khulafa-e-Rashideen and on the other there is the survival of a disciple and biological son of the Promised Messiah (as) after such a brutal attack on his person, such a miracle manifested in such old age, that he lived another 11 years after the blade of the knife got stuck in his life-artery. Death of a liar lies in Allah’s hand. That much is evident from the Quranic verse, and this same verse leaves no stone unturned as to the fate the false claimant of divine revelations whenever he attributes to God that which is against the words of God – that is, He (Allah) shall exterminate him in such a way that no trace is left of him, and people looks down upon him, and not the contrary. These people become the enemies of the believers – the pious and the righteous, not their friend and mentor.

The Promised Messiah (on him be peace), in response to the hypocritical maulanas cited his own example concerning this affair. He clearly told them that a False claimant or a “lying and daring impostor” will not be able to get respite from God Almighty “for a period extending more than 20 years” . He questioned them: “Is it then the way of God Almighty to grant a respite extending over more than twenty years to such lying and daring impostor? ...” (Anjam-e-Atham, Ruhani Khaza’in, Vol.2, pp.49-51, Essence of Islam II, pp.377-378)

The Promised Messiah (on him be peace) further added: “I do not claim that an idol worshipper or an atheist or a claimant of Godhood is not granted long life, because these errors and such misguidance would be punished in the hereafter. But I do affirm that he who falsely poses as the recipient of Divine revelation is soon seized and his life is cut short. The Torah, the Gospel and the Holy Qur’an bear witness to this and so does reason. An opponent cannot set forth a single instance to the contrary from history.” (Ayyam-us-Sulh, Ruhani Khaza’in, Vol.14, pp.267-268 with reference to Essence of Islam II, pp.379)

By trying to dirt the memory and claim of Khalifa Sani as Musleh Maoud, not only does Janbah Sahib is questioning the decision of Allah as to the appointment of a biological son of the Promised Messiah, but also he clearly contradicts the claim of the Promised Messiah (as) that from among his “seed” (biological progeny) there shall be one who shall be the “Zaki Ghulam” of his time, the Promised Son and also Musleh.

Janbah Sahib is adamant to say that there can be only one “Zaki Ghulam” – one Musleh Maoud from the prophecies of the Promised Messiah (as), not two or more. But it is evident from the prophecies of the Promised Messiah (as) that there shall be more promised ones who shall come (Mujaddid and Messengers as per the promise of the Quran – Is not the Promised Messiah one of the true guardian of the Holy Quran and the one to confirm it?). One was from his very own seed (biological progeny), and others who shall be from among his followers, who shall be the true guardians of his spiritual legacy.

I, for one have come in fulfilment of that promise and to uphold his Jamaat, Allah had promised His Messiah (as) that He shall raise someone from his own Jamaat with the Holy Spirit (Al-Wassiyat p.9). I am the spiritual son of the Promised Messiah (as) and also the fulfilment of the spiritual side of the prophecy of Zaki Ghulam. I have come not to abolish the claim of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra) but to reinforce it with the help of Allah. Allah is witness over my words and His support of this humble self is enough! I do not need people to attend to me. Should they believe, it will be good for their own souls, if they go against the decisions and supremacy of Allah as to His right to choose whom He wants to be His Messenger, then their affair rests with Allah. But all in all, the TRUTH shall be manifested definitely and the day will come when the real truth-seekers shall come to realise that a Messenger comes not to force someone to believe, but rather to pass on the message; should they believe, it will be good for them, if not… just too bad! The passions of man are innumerable. I hope that Janbah Sahib is not overcome by his passions as to condemn a claimant of revelation (especially in the own Jamaat of the Promised Messiah (as)), especially one whom he followed until his own proclamation as being the real Musleh Maoud (and labelling the first claimant to “Musleh Maoud” as false).

I invite Janbah Sahib to personally come forward and not through one of his disciples; let him come forward in this battlefield and say that he is that Zaki Ghulam promised by Allah to His Promised Messiah (as), the same Zaki Ghulam (Musleh Maoud) about whom Allah revealed to the Messiah in Hoshiarpur, the same son who shall be from his seed. He says that there can be only one Musleh maoud, then let him come forward in this challenge personally and he declares that he is the truthful one and that I am the false one, and we shall see whom Allah shall support and help. Let him come forward and say that the promised son who is Zaki Ghulam and Musleh Maoud is himself. The miracle of that special birth which the Promised Messiah wanted to make known is to be from his own biological progeny; then let Janbah Sahib come forward and say that he himself that biological and spiritual son of the Promised Messiah (as); that this biological son and Zaki Ghulam was not the second Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Movement, but let him say that that person is himself and let him say also that both Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad and I are liars and false; but he must come alone and not pass messages through his disciple to say that! If he says he is a Zaki Ghulam, then let him come forward as a Zaki Ghulam!

I would like to end by adding that true to the prophecy which this humble self has made through the divine instructions, currently in Mauritius (since beginning of February), we have been witnessing a very hot climate, unlike what we are used to, for Mauritius, being a tropical island usually has a mild climate (not too hot in summer and not too cold in winter), but in the aftermath of the Friday Sermon of 07 January 2011, not only we have witnessed heavy rainfall in various areas of the country, but also hot climate. Moreover, we keep hearing about crimes committed by young people, and also suicides. Recently, there has been the death of one of the advisors of the Prime Minister. Moreover, we are witness to many calamities which is sizzling this world day by day. May Allah protect the world from destruction. O mankind, awake from your long sleep before it is too late. The day of judgement has come for you; there remains too little time to be spent in vain pursuits. Change your bearing so that Allah becomes your priority and let this change come when you have realise the imperativeness of the situation witnessed. Insha-Allah. Ameen. It is a grace of Allah that with each day that comes, not only our members in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam are regular recipients of inspirations, revelations and divine signs but they, along with other seekers of truth are witness to miracles of duahs. This was true in the past like it is true today also. May Allah remove all veil from the eyes of the ignorant people, and may He guide the real truth-seekers to the acceptation of the truth so that they also they reap of fruits of true divine love. Insha-Allah, Ameen.

“How many a people have turned in their pride against the command of their Lord and His Messengers! We made them a stern reckoning, and punished them with a horrible punishment. So they tasted the mischief of their deed, and the end of their matter was loss. Allah has prepared a severe punishment for them. So those possessing understanding and who believe, fear Allah! Allah has sent this (the message) down for you as a reminder, (through) a messenger reciting to you the clear revelations of Allah as proof, so that he may bring forth those who believe and do good deeds from darkness into light. Whosoever believes in Allah and does good deeds He will admit him to gardens underneath which rivers flow where they shall live forever and ever. For those (people), Allah has made a nice provision.” (Revelation)
