(Summary of Friday Sermon)

After having greeted everybody with the Salutations of Peace, the Messiah (Massih’ullah) read the Tashahhud, Taouz and Surah Al Fatiha and he said:

By simple observation, the Muslim community lives more than ever, in inertia and ignorance. Islamic education is virtually abandoned, the practice of our Deen (religion) is very poor, the rights of Mosques are observed only on Fridays, the reading of the Quran is replaced by songs and music, the Sunna (tradition) of our beloved prophet (peace be upon him) buried, and customs and traditions of others excavated. The identity of the Ummah is like the spider's web. Why the degradation? Is it the return to times of Jahiliyah (time of ignorance)? Frankly, I certainly see the world in the grip of ignorance once witnessed in pre-Islamic times. Verily the Arab community of that age of ignorance has now become a global affair. Vices and idolatry of the pre-Islamic Arabs have become the pride of humanity as a whole.

Before the advent of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the pagan Arabs were living in abject barbarism, immorality was at its height. Alcoholic drinks, vices, indecency, immorality, witchcraft, usury, prostitution, dancing, gambling etc., were common in their everyday life. That community was on the brink of a great abyss and in the grip of destruction.

“And while you were on the brink of an abyss of fire, He has saved you.” (3: 104)

In the same period was born a man, Muhammad (peace be upon him) the Messenger of Allah. He lighted by the grace of Allah the torch of civilisation in the midst of these barbarian people who lived in darkness. These ignorant and barbarous people quickly transformed by the grace of God, into a civilised and beloved people.

“God be pleased with them and they with Him” (98: 9)

Their hatred was turned into love, indecency was dressed in the mantle of humanity, idolatry was turned in the firm belief in Allah, the one God, usury was turned into commerce, booze into a pure and clean drink, ignorance replaced by knowledge, barbarism by civilisation, absurdity by piety, the hardness of the heart replaced by the tranquillity of the soul
(Ruh), and vile habits and traditions gave way to Islamic precepts.

This change was not realised only by listening to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). On the contrary, every word, every order, every action, every gesture of the Prophet (peace be upon him) profoundly penetrated their hearts to take root like the root of the olive tree. These words thrilled the hardest of hearts to such an extent that this material world darkened for them to give way to the world of spirituality.

They agreed through the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to abandon all the false gods they used to worship, to let go of the traditions and customs of their ancestors to subscribe them body and soul to the Divine Laws. And the result: the people became a beautiful role model for all humanity. But what has become of us?

We, Muslims, belonging to the Ummah of the same leader who changed the destiny of a people destined to Hell, are we being used as a model or as trash for others?

The answer is as simple as hello. Although this same message to the pagan people came down to us also and that Islamic teachings are accessible to everyone, despite the fact that the message of Islam make vibrate the mountains, we continue to wade through the same ignorance of the time the
Jahiliyah (pre-Islamic times). We continue to sacrifice the Quranic laws and teachings of our beloved prophet (peace be upon him) for the pleasure of this world which is headlong into destruction.

“Verily, God does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition.” (13: 12)

We are absorbed by the “idols” of television and video, VCD, DVD. We're reviving the barbarism that was buried by our ancestors. What baseness and shame!

“If anyone turns himself away from the remembrance of Allah, We will appoint for him a devil who becomes his associate.” (43: 37-38)

Of course, our beloved prophet has certainly made it clear that there would come a time when Muslims would be like the Jews and Christians and they would follow them in all their customs which are against the Islamic teachings.

Narrated Abu Said al-Khudri:

“The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘You will follow step by step the same path taken by those before you so that when they go into the hole of a lizard, you will follow suit.’

We said: ‘Do you mean the Jews and Christians?’

He said: ‘Who else?’” (Bukhari and Muslim)

What shall we have to do then? The answer is given to us by God Himself, in His infinite goodness.

“May from you be born a people who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful. (3: 105)

This goal will be achieved only if each of us has a sincere desire that causes a profound change, a change in our feelings, our thoughts and our mood. Avoid punishment from God and a true Muslim believer should be looking for the protection of Allah in every aspect of his life. Always stay under the protection of the shade of Allah. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“There are seven kinds of people whom Allah shall protect under His shade on the Day (of Judgement) when there shall be no other shade than His.

- The just ruler

- The youth who grew up in the worship of his Lord.

- The man whose heart is attached to the Mosque.

- Two persons who love each other only for Allah’s sake and they meet and part in Allah’s cause only.

- A man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for illicit intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah.

- A man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given.

- A person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears.” (Bukhari)

Certainly, the coming of a Messenger of God helps to better unite you, O Muslims so that you know how to take the path that leads to God, pleased with Him and Him pleased with you. The present world is beset by terrible misfortunes, such misfortunes caused by the hand of man. Certainly, in the Holy Qur'an, Allah has made it clear that any good which a human being obtains comes from Allah while all evils are from him (the person). If the world has come to this deplorable state today, it is because of humans, and if Islam is humiliated today, it's because of our own actions. Verily there is no dearth of enemies of Islam. They do everything to destroy Islam and divide the Muslims, but if this sorry state is perceived today, it is because of Muslims themselves. They made Islam into a circus ring. They do everything to follow the traditions and cultures of other religions. Although they have pretty Arab and Islamic names, but their behaviour is quite different - anything but Islamic.

The teachings of Islam are indeed perfect, but if people do not put them into practice, then these teachings will be useless, and nothing can be done to save their souls from hell, both here and in the afterlife. Gradually Muslims have let themselves be influenced by the attractions of this world and have taken non-Islamic traditions as better than those of Islam.

Today’s Muslim brothers and sisters do not hesitate to do battle (between them) for territorial and vain gains. What happened to team spirit and unity once witnessed in the time of the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him)? Where are the valiant soldiers of Islam? Where are the sincere servants who resemble Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Hamza, Abbas, Abu Talha, and Khalid bin Walid? Is the spirit of sacrifice which these people (Sahaba) have shown in their time dead? Who will come forward to help the cause of Allah today?

By the grace of God, Allah chose this humble servant to unite you all, O Muslims! I am the Caliph of God, the same caliph who has come from God in order to spread the message of unity and brotherhood. This world is doomed to destruction. Unfortunately, this destruction will continue to come through the hand of man. O Muslims, do not dirty your hands and other members of your body with wrongdoings which are hateful in the eyes of God. The future awaits you, a future where there’s God's grace, when you embrace Islam with a pure heart.

Islam has vanished from your hearts. If there is no Islam, there is no Iman (faith). Submit to Allah and His will and cease to follow the footsteps of the devil, for he incites you to rebel against your own Deen (religion). It is not necessary that this rebellion be visible, but the devil made you deviate in subtle ways, without you even noticing. The Islamic world is in danger, and it is you who are the culprits (responsible for this state of affairs).

Teach your hearts the sweetness of faith. This will only happen if you open your hearts to Islam, without hypocrisy, without hatred or laziness. Satan has promised to try to divert people from the path of Allah, but Allah has promised that Satan shall not succeed in deviating the true servants of God. O Muslims! Don’t you want to be among the chosen servants of God? Don’t you want to be the aid of Allah and His Caliph in order that you receive the divine grace, and that Allah opens for you the path to salvation, and a paradise whose width is unlimited? Do you want to imitate the people condemned to hell, and at the same time becoming one yourself?

O Muslims, wake up from your long sleep. The sun of truth, the sun of hope has risen in this century to take you back to the glory of Allah. Abandon your past carefree life and embrace the spiritual happiness that awaits you. The predictions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) have become a reality. Muslims have become like the Jews and Christians, and moreover, their religious men have become the worst creatures under the roof of the sky, guiding them to harm and damnation. Your long-awaited Imam has come; then come running to the hope of this century so that you may receive the grace of Allah which is falling like fine rain, full of blessings. The divine revelations and heavenly signs are the undisputed evidence that Allah has indeed sent His Chosen Messenger to save His servants from damnation. So O you souls thirsty for forgiveness from Allah, the divine happiness, come running to Allah by being sincere and repentant in your prayers. I have not come to make you know me, but for you to discover God's love, immersing yourself in submission to Allah through your acts of Ibaadat (of worship). Be sincere among yourselves, so that God may accept as true and faithful people. Remember: Your birth as a Muslim and your belonging to Islam were given to you on a platter of gold on the day of your birth. Happy is he who has received Islam as a religion and has known how to maintain his Islam and has enriched himself with the divine favours and Allah’s grace.

What is way better; happy is he who although born on earth Muslim, but grew up in a non-Islamic family environment, so happy is the man or woman who despite his non-Islamic education, recognised the voice of Islam and revert back to his religious source: Islam! This person is better in the sight of Allah than the Muslim who grew up in an Islamic environment, but acts as a Non-Muslim!

The Islamic teachings are before you, at the reach of your fingertips, so why don’t you lend your heart the appeal of understanding and wisdom? Why do you read the Quran like parrots, without willing to know its content which verily is the remedy for all your ills? If people had recognised the inestimable value of Islam, then there would have been no reason for my coming to earth, but as morality and spirituality have disappeared from people's lives, so I came as a doctor to heal you and guide you to the ultimate Healer, my Master so that you may be rescued and receive (His) mercy.

May Allah help us follow the teachings and guidance of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and this humble servant (the Caliph of God) and put them into practice. Ameen.
