Friday Sermon

HAZRAT AMIR’UL MOMENEEN MUHYI-UD-DIN
AL KHALIFATULLAH

Munir Ahmad Azim

08 January 2010

(21 Muharram 1431 Hijri)

(Summary of Friday Sermon)

After having greeted everybody with the Salutations of Peace, the Khalifatullah read the Tashahhud, Taouz and Surah Al Fatiha and then he said:

We must bear in mind that Natural Disasters and Divine Punishment are both from the same Source – Allah, but the interpretation of each wordings are made in the prevailing situations. Natural disasters exist, for example, cyclones, tornadoes, and earthquakes etc. but when Allah chooses to manifest His anger and displeasure on mankind, He uses these very calamities which is termed as “Natural Disasters” by man to inflict hardships on mankind to give them a wakeup call to His Divine Prescriptions.

Now, let us go back to the times of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We know from the examples of the Holy Quran that the peoples of past prophets have been annihilated by such calamities as heavy rainfall which persisted for days and nights, falling of stones from the heavens, earthquakes etc. But in the case of the best of mankind, the perfect of all prophets, in his times no such destructions were witnessed as for the extermination of past peoples of past prophets.

We must bear in mind that Divine Punishment is not an absolute decree. Allah, through prayers, supplication and reform can bring about a savage people towards the perfection of humankind. This miracle was witnessed in the times of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Holy Quran in any place has not claimed that the object of God’s punishments will be always, without exception, the termination of a rebel people or nation. Although it refers to some of such peoples whose destructions have been decreed by Allah, but this is not decreed as a permanent decree of Allah. If there be a permanent decree is that the prophets of Allah and his small group of disciples shall always be victorious over their opponents and these happenings, these divine manifestations shall be witnessed as long as there are people walking on earth.

The miracle brought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is that he succeeded in changing the ways of a savage people and bring them back on the right path. He made brothers and sisters out of them, caring for each other in the love of Allah. This does not mean that there was no opposition against him! Indeed, enemies of Islam tried tooth and nail to finish him, to exterminate the rising breath of Islam. They made plots to finish the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). As a blessing for mankind, he came not as a prophet to curse his people (even though they tried their best to finish him and put a dart on his character), but nevertheless, he cease not to pray for them, to supplicate Allah to transform their hatred into love for Islam.

In the examples of past prophets before the advent of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we have the examples of prophets such as Noah, David and Moses (on them be peace) who after the clear indication that their people will not reform themselves, and after clear indication from Allah that these peoples shall be at a lost in this world and the hereafter, then they prayed for the destruction of these people (except for the true band sincere believers).

The Jews were such a people who had the love of Allah; a privilege not known to other people before the advent of Islam. In their midst there came prophets who came again and again to guide them aright on the path of Allah. But what did they do? They persecuted to the extreme limit these prophets, to such an extent that they killed a few of them.
Thus, the love of Allah was transformed into pure divine wrath breaking them into pieces, and Allah removed the favour of prophethood from their forefather Isaac’s line, and instead gave that favour of prophethood in the Ishmaelite line – the forefather of Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Thus, a fresh change was to occur; a new era of dawa and divine blessings were to pour down on Muhammad’s people (the Arab); such divine blessings that not only the Arabs were to benefit from them, but also the totality of humans till the Day of Judgement. All prophets came for a specific people, but the coming of the Holy Prophet as a guide was meant for whole mankind not only in his era, but for all times. His teachings are thus universal, and thus what was needed for mankind was a universal prophet with universal values; such values which will be praiseworthy, of high glory.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) compared to other prophets succeeded to see the victory of Allah in his own lifetime, a privilege true to the promise of Allah. The Holy Quran contains such prophecies which have been accomplished, some of them in his lifetime, and others after his death. But the ultimate miracle is the reform of a savage people into that of humans possessing moral and spiritual values. His patience in the face of adversities and his prayers to insults and blames have borne their fruits in his lifetime and after his death.

But why then some thirty years after his demise, his community has split into different sects and each sect being satisfied with their own school of thoughts? Why has Islam who in the first glorious years of Islam won battles, territories and people (through sincere preaching and not through force) to Islam has now lost its appeal in the eyes of the Muslims of today? Why was there the need of the coming of the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) in the late 1800s and early 1900? Why is there is need today of my coming as the Caliph of Allah, His Messenger for all mankind?

Such questions are better answered in the following verse of the Holy Quran:

“The Romans are vanquished, in a near land, and they, after being vanquished, shall overcome, Within a few years. Allah's is the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice, With the help of Allah; He helps whom He pleases; and He is the Mighty, the Merciful”

The above verse states the victory of Muslims over the Romans (and therefore subsequent territories) but afterwards the Romans shall have the upperhand on Muslims, but what is guaranteed by Allah is the Ultimate Victory of Islam. This Victory will only happen with Allah’s help. Thus, how does the help of Allah come? It is through the coming from time to time of prophets, Messengers, and reformers who shall come from Him to assist Islam in gaining over its prestige vouchsafed to Noble Holy Prophet, Beloved Muhammad (peace be upon him).

It is a known fact, divine scriptures bears witness to this that Allah does not send His chosen envoy until there is chaos on earth, where people are negligent of the divine commandments sent to them by their prophets. Such is the case for the religion of Islam; even though Allah has perfected the religion brought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and given its name Islam; although Islam is a pure religion and the Holy Quran is pure and complete law to mankind, nevertheless people views and belief over centuries change and their faith are no longer the pristine faith like of the like of the early converts to Islam. Even the religion is pure, but if the people’s faith and mind are no longer pure, the teachings become void. Thus, there becomes the necessity for God to send Reformers in the pure religion of Islam to guide them towards the comprehension and instilling in them the pristine faith of early Islam.

Such people who believe in the envoy of Allah and assist him in his work are so blessed in such a way that even they may be small in number, but Allah blesses them in such a way that Victory is theirs in the final go. Like I mentioned in my launching discourse of the Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran and in the last Friday Sermon, there is a limited time for the enemies of Allah and the Prophet of Allah; Allah has made it so that even though they persecuted this humble one to such a degree of martyrdom, but Allah knows that the prescribed time for an ultimate change has come; for Allah and His prophet are bound to be victorious. It is a certain end for all missions of prophets. Even though this humble one may be martyred in different ways and my disciples also, but the fact remain that Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam as the people in the pure religion of Islam shall be victorious, and in the fruits of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam there shall appear someone, and in his progeny and followers (till the appointed time) – a continuous manifestation of divine revelations like witnessed in the past prophets’ eras – again and again shall bring the One Community of Believers; all mankind as one community – the Ummaté Waahida.

Thus the wrath of Allah in the form of calamities in the image of earthquakes, tornadoes, cyclones, the Tsunami of year 2004, the destruction through fire, erosion, drought, the crashing of airplanes and helicopters of enemies of Islam, the fighting among Muslims in Pakistan (due to their infidel beliefs and mocking of the signs of Allah through the advent of the Promised Messiah Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and this humble one), all this show that Allah shall finish this world to create another one.

Very often, I receive the following revelation: “O Khalifatullah Muhyi-ud-Din, My beloved Munir Azim, arise and create a New World.” (at other times, in different wordings)

“Arise and Create a New World” is not meant as recreating the earth. No! But it is the transforming of a world to the worship of Allah; such a world which will be filled with true servants of Allah and not infidels. The calamities striking this world is a warning unto mankind from Allah to return back to Him, to return back to His worship alone, to abandon all the idols which people worship besides Allah or along with Allah, such idols which are both visible and invisible, such idols which have pervaded the hearts of most people, including Muslims – or I may say “so-called Muslims” – those Muslims who are Muslims only in name (and not in faith and deeds).

I thus warn you O mankind as thus:

Fear Allah, and return back to Allah. Fear Allah and leave all the forbidden things of this world and grip firmly the rope of Allah, that is, the Holy Quran and the divine blessings being poured down upon this humble one in this era, as a sign of “God sent on earth”. Allah shall never descend physically on earth to reform mankind, but He sends from time to time someone, a human being like you from Him to recite to you His messages, His commandments (and in this case bringing back the glory of the Holy Quran as the final divine law).

Fear Allah! For such a time of divine blessing has come when Allah has sent this humble one, His Khalifatullah Amir’ul Mumineen Muhyi-ud-Din, Musli’ud-Din as a Harbinger of Glad tidings for those who are ever ready to follow Allah and His Messenger, and as a Warner for all people, especially to those who have left the path of Allah and have gripped the robes of idols in the name of religion, and even in the name of Allah! Fear Allah and return back to Allah!

The calamities from Allah, a true image of Divine Punishment shall not cease until man realises his mistakes, forsake this world and return back to the pure practices of Islam – complete submission to Islam for as long as he lives. I pray like my model, my beloved prophet and guide Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) so that all infidels and my persecutors (those who are not hard-heartened; unlike the Pharaohs of this era) shall embrace faith and recognise the truth of my claim as the Envoy of Allah. No doubt, the victory of Islam, of Sahih al Islam, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam shall be witnessed by my true followers. I pray that Allah may make me witness (before I depart from this world) His Victory which He promised this humble one. May Allah have mercy unto mankind. Mankind has a foremost duty to reform them and return back to Allah. When this will become a reality, Allah shall make people takes peace from Him and divine blessings falling upon them. Remember, after a time, after the Victory promise, the negligent people who return back to infidelity shall witness the wrath of Allah. The ways of Allah have already been described and the way He treats His messengers with love is also a fact and His decree.

May Allah guides us all in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam to follow His prescriptions and may all of you be always obey Allah and His messenger, this Humble One who wants only your good in this life, and in the next. Insha’Allah. Ameen.
